Problem starting.....95 SE
Seems my 95 pontiac bonneville SE
I replaced the battery with the biggest battery that'd fit in the space.
Also replaced the ignition switch since my security light kept coming on.........
but now it seems once and a while my battery will be dead (red zone) out of the blue....... then one I got it started (after it sat for a few hrs) the battery charged back up. So today I borrowed a impact meter (I think that'* what it'* called) and measured the voltage to the battery which was good and then started it and measured it and it said it was taking the charge..........
everytime the battery was dead (looked dead when I put it on "on" and the guage went up a bit then dipped to dead when I turned the key) it would turn over just not start..... there was no clicking sound or anything.
Anyone have any ideas as to what it could be? I'm guessing it'* not the altenator since it'* taking the charge and what not but you think it could be the starter or something??
I'm getting annoyed with these trips to the mechanic for stuff that'* not fixing it.
So if anyone has an idea of what it could be and how I might check it I'd be greatful.
Thanks
