Default HUD swap

Hi all,
I'm in the process of gathering funds and finishing midterms to be able to go get some new parts for my Bonneville. I'm going to be adding several things including a column to console swap if I can find the right color interioir, if I find one with a HUD I will be more than excited and plan to add it to my bonneville.

Using search I found a good thread one the swap by Badit but the picture links are dead
https://www.gmforum.com/t246695/

would anyone happen to have these pictures saved? Or pics of their own HUD swap?

One more quick question, were is the best place to find FSMs?

That work was done at my place, not sure if I have pics of it. The way we did it was to take the whole dash from a JY. Roughly 8 bolts, one main electrical connector and two small ones. Then take the dash out of your car. Take both wiring harnesses off the dashes and swap them. Now add the hud wiring into your old harness. This allows you to use a different year dash than was originally in the car.

Presto..about 8-12 wires and you have a hud.

Sounds like someone will be able to make up a new write up on a HUD install.
