Default Sunroof shade

I'm about to redo my headliner and I was wondering what is the easiest way to remove the sunroof shade so that i can redo the material on it also.

I don't have the book here...but you will need to follow the procedure from an FSM. I think that'* the only way and it'* not an easy one to look at and determine how it comes out.

how bad is the material? you are gonna have a huge hassel with it...

you cant use the same fabric as the headliner, there is no padding to it...

so you're posting to say "i don't know"

93 FSM:

1 Cycle unit to vent position and slide shield and sunshade forward.
2. Pull rear end of sunshade down slightly and slide trough and shield rearward so stops on sunshade clear trough and shield.
3. Remove sunshade by rotating to disengage rear clips.

I have an aftermarket moonroof and was able to cover the sunshade in headliner material, but it is a bit too thick and the back part of it has recently torn. (only noticeable when the shade is compeletely closed....never)

thanks for the response...my headliner started to have some spots of bubbles and stuff and I figure I might as well redo it now. the instructions arent worded very well, hopefully it won't be hard. I have already dropped my headliner once to install my flipdown so i have that under control. Also along the line of glues...do you really need the trim glue or can you use 3m super 77 (cuz I still have 2 cans of that stuff from my gucci project) thanks for the quick response and if anyone has any other tips on taking out the sunshade, that would be helpful.
