Default Does my car have.....

Electronic Steering? cause i just ordered a new PS pump and theres 2 choises on them...Elec. steering or Not. how do i know? it'* a 92 SE model. they went ahead and ordered the one without it for me, will be here tomorrow. But i am curious as to wether or not i have it. no problem if its the wrong pump as i can just exchange it.

I would doubt it... The SSE and SSEi have the variable assist power steering. There is a code for it that appears in your trunk, but I don't know it off hand.

I think back then it was a 2-stage assist: When you go above 20 mph, the assist is decreased (kind of abruptly, actually, if you're taking a curve at the time )

I'd say if the parts catalog lists it as optional, the SE probably doesn't have it; the SSE/SSEi does. The 2-stage assist would probably have some obvious electrical connections at the rack or pump; the regular system would not.
