new rubbers
Time has come to take off the slicks (home made). I was looking into getting one or two sizes wider 235 or 245 instead of 225. But im worried that I may get rub on the inside, and I dont want ballon tires so maybe 55 instead of 60 for 235'* and 50'* for 245'*, would a 235/55 have same size wall as a 225/60 same with 245/50 or close? I think I remember seeing sombody here with 245'* cant remember if they were stock wheels though. Could I go that route with spacers maybe. Im going to check out Firestone Monday. I want something that has a nice side wall and tread, but also something 4 season performance. any suggestions?

Spacers are more made for show vehicles and not daily drivers. I bought the ontinental Contiextreme Contact tires. Got good reveiws on them for all around weather. You can find them on Tirerack.

i did some measuring on the car when i was considering putting dubs on the car.. i think the deepest rim that will fit is 12", but you won't be able to turn very far, i think 10" was the widest you can go without rubbing.

OK, on topic: Will 50'* fit my stock rims?
According to the tire size calculator I use, 265-50/16 will be the closest match (59.6 when reading 60) but will they fit on the rims?
PS - This is a cool calculator too:

265 won't work very well without some major modifications. 255 is the widest you can go with MINOR modifications and still travel full-lock on the steering. I personally suggest 235 or 245.
