Probably out of fluid. Did you check the Transmission Fluid Level?

Well.. it shouldn't be, but this week, there have been a few tranny-related problems similar to what you are experiencing here on BC.

I'm assuming you know to check the fluid, by running the tranny through each gear selection a few times, holding it in each gear for several seconds... correct? And when you check it, you check it with the engine running, and the car in park.

Oh, alright I thought the car didn't move whatsoever.

[in intellectual voice]Well, it looks like the Reverse Stove Pipe has failed.

Honestly, I don't know.. better let a gearhead chime in...

Yes, it is the Stove Pipe. Same thing happened to me after racing a Mustang 5.0. Make sure you get a trsn shop that knows their stuff and use the new heat treated 4T65E stove pipe and also make sure they update the trans and valve body with all the Sonnax upgrades.

yup the tranny guy said the same thing showed me a piece that lookedl ie ka stove pipe had ridges on it and he said that the little ridges get worn out from wear and tear and what not and estimated the job of a rebuild at 1300 or so. Is there anything i should request for aftermarket parts and what not?
