fuel regulator
does anyone know if i can get a rebuild kit for the fuel pressure regulator for a 97 bonnie se 3.8, or can i take the snap ring off and clean it out,am leakng gas past the scrador valve?i have tried a few auto parts for the rebuild kit...

the FPRs are inexpensive if I recall...I'm not aware of any "rebuild" kits either.

FPR'* are not rebuildable. They're crimped at the factory in a way that will not come apart.

Just checked Bonneville recalls on the 'net. The recall is for 98-99 cars. Guess you're on the hook.
My advice is to park it until you can get to the parts puppies and replace the part. If you can smell fuel, I don't think the car is safe to drive.

ok from what i notice yes it can be rebuilt has a snap ring on the top i took it off and found sludge,cleaned it out,yes was leaking in the schrader valve,stem like a valve stem
went to parts store man said yes put a new vlave in it and it will be ok,i put car valve stem in it and no leak,i was the 1 posting about hard to crank in cold weather,will wait till the morning and see if it fixes this prroblem i was having..like i said in earlier posts
when it is cold really hard to get it to crank if at all/...after i cut car off i wasn't getting pressure at the valve like it was supposed to be doing,,,now it is?hope my problem is solved,morning will tell.......

And if there'* sludge in the FPR, it'* time to change your fuel filter back by the tank. $10, ten minutes.
