Fuel pump not engaging when motor is hot
I have realized that my fuel pump is not humming after the engine warms up. When i try to start her i need to pump the gas to get her free from studdering. Could this be a bad relay or harness or a bad ground to the pump? Having a tough time figuring this one out.

IIRC you said that your car has higher miles on it right? Is the fuel pump original?
How old is your fuel filter?
Check your Fuel Pressure Regulator.
A fuel pump thats getting tired will do what your experiencing sometimes.
If it is the fuel pump going bad, be glad its giving you warning signs.
Does this happen all the time?
Have you had your fuel pressure checked when this happens?
Have you had enough questions yet?

- close to 300000km ~ 188,000miles, no idea if pump is original but gas tank was changed
- fuel filter seems old, but i never changed it because my fuel lines are too rusted (its clogged for sure)
- new fuel pressure regulator
- yes this happens every time its hot outside and i drive her for quite a bit, runs fine in cold weather
- never checked fuel pressure ( no idea how)
- nope
my guess now is either the filter is giving her a tough time or the pump easily overheats :/
