92 TPS adjustment
She'* idling high (1300 RPM) in drive and will accelerate on her own when coasting. Think the TPS needs adjusting. Can someone coach me through this or suggest another solution? Thanks!

I have the same problem, I tried to adjust my TPS sensor, and moved the idle screw WAY back and still get the same thing. There must be a sensor somewhere that is causing it. My measurements are .40V for idle and 4.41V for WOT, and I still get 1400RPM idle. When I put it into drive or reverse, the engine lugs down to about 1000rpm. I don't know how to adjust the Idle Air Control Valve, and I haven't yet checked my vacuum lines for leaks yet. Besides those two, I've heard of a bad Catalytic Converter or O2 sensor fault, so far I've changed the first o2, but yet to change the other one after the cat. I'm going by lowest price first, and working my way up. I would hate to spend too much money on things I don't need.

I suggest never adjusting those screws. That may very well be your problem. If your throttle plate isn't fully closed, that could be your idle issue. Your IAC could also cause this, as could a dirty TB. If the seat for the IAC is crudded up, the IAC won't be able to close properly when it needs to.
I suggest both of you use the TB/MAF cleaning procedures in Techinfo, and after cleaning, make sure your TB is adjusted for the Throttle plate to be fully closed at idle.

I'll start with cleaning the TB.
