I'm just replacing whats broke. I don't really have the funds to go swapping out whole sets.
The retainers are Manley steel retainers.

Ever since Comp Cams stopped getting there valve springs from PAC and switched to some company in Mexico their QC went to ****. IIRC within a year they have already had 2 recalls for LS1 valve springs alone.

I'd switch over to GM LS6 (yellow) springs - they can be found for ~ $50. I know they have a higher ramp rate but I think that is worth the peace of mind. You could always buy one more Comp #105 and sell them used and make money to switch over to the LS6 Valve Springs.
