Default 93 se ,recharge AC r-12/R-138?

what should i expect to pay to recharge using R-12, someone at pep boys said i could use r138 if i purge my system anyone try this or recomend it?

any alternatives that i can use besides using a conversion kit to use r134? which seesm to be unreliable.
even after recharge will my AC be that cold
thanks

R-12 is pricing.....sometimes as much as $20 per can. R-134 is much cheaper....but certainly not as good. You can usually buy R-12 on ebay if you care to do things yourself. I'm not sure about purging the system, or doing a conversion at all...I'm actually interested myself. Good Luck.

Where do you live? I may be able to help you with the R12 if you're local. I have two 30 lb. jugs left of it.

I'd thought of trying to acquire 12 myself and did look on Ebay but anyone who sells this is required to get proof of EPA 609 certification. I discovered that you can take this test online for about $20 and you can read the manual online as well . The test is 25 questions I think . Sounds almost like a no brainer to me ! I'm thinking of doing it . Then I can buy R12 . epatest.com

redford mi, and i think the 30 lb price would be out of my price range and a lot more than i need i think.

ya i saw that online test thing how many times can you take it and fail before having to pay another 25 bucks.and which test(*) do you have to take to be able to buy?

would i be able to use anyones epa number since that is all they ask for? or do you think they do some kind of check

anyone heard of freezone or something its called or autofrost, any experiences

Blink...I think Vital is offering to sell you a charge up out of the 30lbs, not sell the whole 30lber.
