Default Does the torque converter get more fluid as the car runs?

I have a question does the torque converter get more fluid when the car is running? Reason why I am asking is because I did pour in trans fluid in my new converter but I didn't pour in 1 quart. I poured in about close to 1/2 quart or maybe less, will the converter still get more fluid as the car is running? I already have the transmission bolted to the engine and I am wondering if I might fry up my new torque converter because i didn't pour in enough trans fluid in the new converter?

Ues the converter itself can hold up to about 10 qts.....So you adding a 1/2 qt wasn't anything. If the TC is empty will will fill up off what you pour into the transmission. My trans in my car took about 11 qts I think to fill it when I put the new one in.

So then I shouldn't worry about damaging the new torque converter? because I just filled it with about 3/4 of trans fluid into it. Iam worried that I didn't put enough fluid into it

It will fill itself. I've never had any problems with my car or truck with not filling the TC. So you should be aliright.....It fills up pretty fast to so make sure you have the bottles ready to go in quick.
