This is for a 1994 Bonneville. I am posting for a friend. He got off work and his car would start then shut right off. He had power, but his power windows would not work. They got it to start put it sounded horrible and stalled. They took it home and noticed that the spark plug wires were not assigned to the right cylinders. They fixed that and the car started. They drove it for a bit and then it stalled. Now it won't start and there are no power windows. Any ideas?

This is confusing.

This person has been driving the car with plug wires out of place?
The car starts and runs..but badly
The car won't start.

Check all battery connections, and also monitor the security light for possible VATS issues. Give us any more information you can and we'll be able to help better.

Check the driver'* side ground buss. The fuel pump & power windows both share that electrical ground. Check the connector with the black wires. Here'* a link to the tech info article. http://www.bonnevilleclub.com/forum/...=article&k=102

I'm guessing that the spark plug wires you switched were from the same coil. They both spark at the same time so it doesn't really matter.
