Default tenssioner bouncing

Hi all,

I had a tapping sounds when I was driving and I've tracked it down to the tensioner arm bouncing.

The belt is a Gator and about a year old.

Does this sounds like a tensioner issue?

I see the tensioner part is 1/2 the price of the tensioner assembly. HOw difficult is it to replace just the part?

Thanks!

OK. I orderd a new tenssioner assembly. I got most of the bolts off of it but the second from the bottom I'm having a lot of trouble with.

The bottom one holds the pipe that connects to the lim. I got that one off, but the one above it I can't follow to where it connects. Looks like behind the water pump.

Any advice on how to get that bugger off?

Thanks

Vin L

I did what I do best and jumped in.

I had to bend pipe #3, put the alternator back on and used a breaker bar to get out that stud.

If I didn't put the alternator back on the whole tensioner assembly rotated. I guess I could have put a bolt back in the tensioner, but then I would have to align the bolts.
