93 SSEI Bottom End
I have a couple questions about the Lower end of the 93 engine. First off I need a new Lower end on my 93 SSEi. The mechanic says he can get one for $500 with under 100k and a 90 day warrenty. My question is, Is this a good price? Second, would the bottom end of a 92 SSE work? I have found a whole motor for less than the above price and if it will work, I'd rather do that. I think the crank bearing on myine might be bad. Any help in this would be great.

I'm not sure what you are talking about when you say "Lower End", is this the "Short Block" or the "Crank Kit"? and what does you mechanic mean by 100k?
A complete engine should cost less than $1,200, I've seen several L67 that are good runners with about 75 - 110k on them. New short block is about the same price or a little more depending on where you get it. A (New)Stock crank kit, should be about $500 or so, I haven't priced them for awhile, I'm sure that someone will jump in here and let us know for sure.
