Keeps shutting off!!!
My '94 Bonneville shuts off while driving! It does not happen all the time. If I had to say out of a whole week of driving to and from work/school, it will shut off 1-2 times. Usually those two times will be in the same day, and then the rest of the week it will be fine. If I am sitting at a red light I can feel it, like it is about to "konk" out. The RPM will drop just above the '0' and then all the way to 0. I simply turn it back on, and it'* fine. Other times, it has turned off while driving, and without warning. I will hear "ding ding ding" and my steering wheel locks up after about 15 seconds. Just gives me enough time to pull off the road so that the person behind me does not hit me.
I don't know if this has anything to do with it, but my AC has stopped working recently too. It blows, but it blows hot air. However, the shutting off does not happen only when it'* hot outside, it has happened in cold weather as well.
I think thats everything, but if you have other questions, I will try my best to answer. Otherwise, what do you think this could be? I know NOTHING about cars, and I don't want to go to a shop and they just tell me anything to rip me off.
Please help, thanks

sounds like either ign control mod, or crank or cam pos sensor, usually though you cant restart the engine after stall until it cools. you get any check engine light?

unfortunately i think 94-95 has the obd 1.5, so i dont know if autozone has that for free but if you could get the codes it would help greatly.

I'd say crank sensor. One day it will not start immediately but maybe a couple of hours later. It'* happened to me.
Mine never set a code.

I recently had the same sort of thing happen to me on my 96 bonneville; rough idle and random shutoffs (although not while driving - scary). it ended up being the crankshaft position sensor. replacement ran me just short of 200 dollars. you may want to have the ignition wiring harness replaced too.
