Default Doing my LIM... thoughts.

So I finally got all the parts together to start my LIM/UIM overhaul. Once I got started, however, I was kind of disappointed by what I saw.

First, I didn't see any leakage around the EGR stovepipe. I knew coolant was in this area a long time ago, but no coolant now. Also, didn't see any place on the LIM or UIM gaskets that made a leak obvious.

Remember, I am afraid I might have a bad head gasket. I got three spark plugs out, and they didn't look extra clean, like a piston that has coolant leaking in. I still can't get the back three plugs out (wires are WELDED to them... I have to use a chisel on the front three!).

Of course, I dumped some coolant into the valley, so I have to change the oil.

What really gets me is that the LIM/UIM and Throttle body where caked/puddled with oil and goo. I don't understand where all the oil is coming from. The MAP gasket was iffy, but I've seen worse.

I've got this thing so far apart now, I wonder if I should get a new cam and chain for it. 194K miles, after all.

Any thoughts? Thanks.
