You need a scantool to extract the history code for further troubleshooting.

I have some suspicions, but they're pointless without the history code (the flash feature listed in Techinfo will only work for a current code, not always for an intermittent).

Autozone will use a simple code-reader or the flash function. Neither will tell you a history code.

Try an auto parts store that will actually SCAN.

I don't know if I follow you on what "auto parts store" you mean?

I have:
Napa
Pep Boys
Murrays
Autozone
Advanced auto

Or did you mean a shop, like an actual repair shop?

Ok I called everyone in town, both service shops and all the parts stores. Either they don't have a SCANNER, or they want 50 bucks for the scan? Any other advise? One shop said they would wave the fee for scanning if I got the work done from them but eh, that'* no good either........ :?

If you read above, Bill said that unless the light is on there wont be a code, thats why I need it SCANNED, not READ. At least thats what I got from what he said.......

Edit: I will give it a try at lunch........ Just is case.......
