Default Odd shift fluke?

Last night i went out and i was making a left turn and as i was coming out of the turn i floored it and i wasnt watching the rpms but it sounded like it downshifted and the rpms were really high and it shifted hard but i let off the gas cause it scared me....any ideas i could only think that my tranny might be going (i hope not) but it didnt do anything else odd like that the rest of the night. thanks!

Doesn't sound abnormal. Is your fluid topped off? Are you getting a Service Engine Soon light?
