97 SSE

The gas guage is very erratic.
Last week, the compass got stuck on calibrate.

Does anyone have a decent alternative for the factory antenna, which is practically useless now.

Thanks in advance!

Corsair, sorry for the late post.

Regarding your antenna, if the problem is that it doesn't go down or won't go down/up all the time, clean it with mineral spirits. Mine started acting up until I cleaned it. What ever you do, do not lube it. That will only make it worse.

As for the guages, I can't help you there.

Jet makes an aftermarket gas gauge for racing, I don't know what it costs or how or if you can install it on our bonnies, but you might want to check it out. [/quote]

1.) Check connector on back of dash cluster.
2.) Possible fuel level sensor fried.
3.) Depends on what'* wrong with the factory antenna....I may be able to help you here if given more info....
4.) can't help much with the compass though....sorry.
