Default Installing cross-drilled rotors...


Got the rotors at Jeg'*, $80 apiece! Pads were $52.

Ran into trouble, guy that owned her before me was IDIOT, garfed threads at end of wheel stud, CUT OFF BAD THREADS!
Have to take off entire hub/bearing assembly tomorrow, take to NAPA, have new studs pressed in

Are all former owners IDIOTS?!?! I just found the other key to the car that was "lost" when I got the car, inside the drivers' door! And when I had the back seat out, I found almost a pound of corn! Like out of a can type corn you would eat!

I have replaced the studs on my '95 SSEi myself before. I took and pulled it thru by hand as far as it would go and then tapped it in a but more to hold it in place (so it wouldn't just fall out). I then took a lug nut I didn't want to keep and a thick washer (thickest you can find) and used that to draw the stud thru. I used a good socket, a 3/4" breaker bar, and a length of pipe (to save my arms ) and got it pulled thru in about 5 minutes. This might be easier than takeing the whole hub assembly apart.

... just a thought....

Tried that w/ Impact wrench, guess I can try again before going to extremes

I tried an impact wrench first too... not even close to enough power to pull a bolt thru.
