installed timing chain and intake manifold
Thanks to everyone for the advice in a few prior posts ....
I have a 95 se with 195k and I replaced the following parts..
lower intake manifold gaskets
new upper intake and gaskets
new timing chain and gears, gaskets and seals
new plugs, air filter, fuel filter
cleaned the throttle body, 180 thermostat
cleaned 5 injectors and replaced one, used new o-rings
oil pan gasket, oil filter, antifreeze, serpentine beltm
di-electric grease on all connectors, plugs, and battery terminals
The car seems to run fine except the idle seems a little fast around 1200 rpm and It seems a bit sluggish (not missing or bucking) when you first jump on it.
Is this due to the adjustment of the throttle positioning sensor or did I mess something up?
How is the idle adjusted on this car?
Is it possible that the timing is off a bit since it has a new belt?
How is the timing set?
How long do rear wheel bearing last? I replaced the fronts last year but never checked the rear ones?
Thanks again for all your advice ....

The front hub/bearings will fail first, but like Jr said, watch those rears! Just jack up the car and do the wiggle test. That should give you some peace of mind for awhile hopefully.
I was going to suggest the same thing with the PCM. You can also simply unplug the PCM fuse. I'd suggest leaving it undone for longer. You wanna make sure that sucker goes cold for sure.
I'd also be tempted to get a scantool on that with a realtime data stream and watch your TRUE RPM'*. Your tach may not be indicating correctly. Mine is off a bit from my scantool, but I trust the tool, not the tach.
Sluggish will be expected while the PCM relearns. It could take up to 100 miles to get back into the groove.

I had the battery disconnected for a few days while I worked on the car. Your right, after about a hundred miles of driving it'* running great and the idle is back where it should be. Thanks to everyone for the help .....
