Default Im having unibody issues!

So i bought the car all looked good until... i started doing the brakes and i went to put the car on jack stands... when i lowered the car onto the stands, the stand went right threw the rear frame rail in front of the passenger rear wheel. it is pretty rusty under there! where do i go from here?

I'd say it depends on what he calls the rear frame rail. I've discovered that the part of the frame rail where it'* welded to the underside of the unibody is not strong. I've seen many bent "frames" where people have tried jacking it up. I'm not sure how strong the rear "frame" is where it is welded to the underside of the unibody. I'm just not going to take that chance.

That said, I don't like using the pinch seam either, which is supposed to be the jacking point for changing tires. I had a pinch seam crumple on me once.

I prefer to use the control arm or crossmember.
