Default Engine cover Question

It doesn't hurt anything to leave the plastic cover that says 3800 off the engine right? I want to leave mine off. Looks better that way.

Leave it off, or cut and 'mesh' it. Looks pretty cool that way. I did Jseabert'* 93 SSE cover after mine. The old pic isn't posted any more, but I can shoot another if you're interested.

Buickpower3800SC is also running one I did (on an L27). Lets things cool down a bit, and looks good, too. The cover on my Series 1 L67 reduced my averaged SC nosedrive temps by almost 10°.

Yep.. the cover is off mine and Muffins SSEIs'. The only bitch part is in winter when the car seems to cool down too fast when you go christmas shopping or have to go to a mall for an hour or 2.. come back out and the engine has to be basically ( of feels like ) it has to warm up as if you never started it and have to wait for it to warm up again to spew semi-warm air thru the vents...

P.*.
See Jim... I'm not the only one that did that.. ears burnin yet?

Puttin it back on in winter is your descretion.. it depends on if you need to do a lot of stops and don't want to wait for the engine to warm back up after being somewhere for only an hour or so ( than thaw out while you're driving already by then ). I would definietly remove it in summer.. think of it as a jacket for your engine..
