Default Fuel System Cleaner

Is the valvoline maxlife Fuel System Cleaner worth getting? Or a waste of money? How often do you guys use this stuff. My car has 118,000 miles thats why I was looking at the maxlife products.

I just use the MaxLife oil. As long as you use good quality gas you shouldn't need fuel system cleaner. My SSEi absolutely loves Shell V-Power gas. I have to drive 30 miles out of my way to get it, but the increased mileage and perf is worth it.

If you aren't sure if you need a fuel system cleaner but would like to try one that does work...
try Techron. It'* by Chevron. There'* a fuel system cleaner and injector cleaner. They both contain the same gasoline additive package that Chevron uses. PepBoys has one or the other and Meijers (Midwest Discount) has it also.

Put it in like the label says with a tank near the empty mark. Fill up with number of gallons for size you bought 12 or 20 oz. Use premium name brand gas. You'll feel the difference in a few miles. If you think it'* not clean you can repeat a second time. Do not use third time. According to mechanic on radio--a real mechanic in Cincinnati. The stuff works for my cars. Use it once every 6-8 months. I use mostly name brand gas -Mobile and Shell with others Kroger mixed in.
