whats going on?
Since I just got this car, I had the dealer replace the acending unit do to the oil pressure gauge going nuts.
Welocthe oil pressure gauge is still going nuts(details below). but i am getting a low coolent messege on the HUD.
Oil pressure gauge drops when not pushing down on the gas till its in the red(and dinging madly) and when it starts up.
I changed the oil, so it is full up; and the coolant level is filled to where it should be.
This is a 1993 Bonneville SSE with no super / turbo charger.
I will post a video / photo when I have access to a computer.
Thank you
Josh

Do you have any experience pulling apart electrical components?
I ask because my 95 had really uber wacky gauges there for a long time.
The fix was to pull apart the instrument cluster and pull off the right three gauge pod. The one with the oil gauge. And clean the pin connectors, which worked for a while. The ultimate fix was to replace the gauge pod and has not given me any problems since.
Ok easy stuff first.
Have you checked all of your ground locations and battery cables both ends?

I have no experiences with car electricals. I have checked the battery wiring connectors only on the battery side. I have not checked the ground locations.
There is a spot on the driver'* side where the carpeting is cut and wires are exposed, there are no cuts, nor splices in the wires. I have put electrical tape around them. This are no connectors with these wires.
Thank you for your help
