Default If not an Exhaust Leak, What Else

Ok, So for the past three or four months I thought I had an Exhaust leak, because the car is definatly much louder...which i'm fine with but the problem is in certain varying RPM ranges (normally about 1500-2000, sometimes around 3500 or so) with my foot on gas it gets twice as loud and sounds very rice-y. I checked for the leak yesterday, stuffed two socks in each outlet and listened and i didn't hear any hissing. Maybe its up next to the engine and i can't hear due to the engine noise. And I just took it for State Inspection today and it passed, they didn't find any leak either.

The car overall sounds louder now than ever, normal but louder. When you push just a little bit on the gas from idle it sounds like them rice rockets fart cans Buzzing, also kinda feels like it vibrates the car more.

I haven't messed with any of this before, would it be like the cat, or something?

I'd start checking the internal ingetrity of the cat, muffler and resonator.
