Default Replaced stud in wheel hub?

I have a bad bolt on a wheel bearing hub. Prolly an air chisel on a wheel lock with no key. I'm not in the mood to spit up $150 for an entire hub.

Anybody ever replace one of those bolts? I can't remember how they are are seated in the hub.

Thanks.

Although that sounds like the end of the hub. Why does it seem that anything associated with wheel hubs involves a hammer and banging like hell?

They can take the beating. Think about what your driving down a bumpy road does with the force of the car on it.
