Default IAC Help...

I'm in the process of cleanin my TB...I can't get the screws out that hold in the IAC...and they're on the verge of stripping. Tell me the best way to get these puppies out!!! I've got my laptop in the garage right now, so if there'* anyone on right now that could help, it would be amazing! Muchos Gracias!!!!!!

You can try a couple of things. First you can soak it well with a good penetrant like PB Blaster, or you can try a little heat. You have to be careful with those screws as not only will the heads strip out, but they have been known to snap off.

soaked it in PB...not peanut butter...but PB blaster

and this is my result



I'm gonna go cool down for a bit, in the meantime, where do i get replacement screws?

Ya, I found some around here, and with my handy tap & die set I made 'em work. TB is CLEAN! just a matter of lettin it dry...

Beers are helpin me, been at this for 3 hours, got my clear corners on, and with any luck i'll have 'er runnin by midnight!

Did I mention...I bought some seafoam?

oh YEAH i'm gonna smoke them out...

but they're not going to know about it, since it'* dark and all my neighbors seem to retire much earlier than I would on a Friday night...gotta wait a little longer for my TB to dry up then it'* going back on! thenn......
