Fuel Pump???
I have a 1994 SSEI that has been running great up until recently. For some reason when I start to accelerate the car hesitates weather the car is warmed up or not. I noticed the other day that it was hesitating really badly when it was cold and almost stalled on me. Could this problem be a fuel pump? I would have thought that if a fuel pump went it stopped working all together. Other than the hesitation the car runs great. I have 346000KM on the car and it still has the factory pump in it. Another note is that it does it weather there is load on the engine or not. It will still hesitate if I give it some gas from an idle.
Are there any fuel pumps that flow a little better than stock ones if I have to replace it?
Thanks, Erik

The stock fuel pump in the Series 1 L67'* support 400hp. OEM is fine.
Answer your own question by checking your fuel pressure. We can't begin to answer you until we know that.

Is there a way to put a fuel pressure gauge on the stock fuel rail?? I dont have a scanner to check it if that is the only way to do it. I also dont have the funds to get the dealer to see it on a scanner. Could this be another problem???

A scanner won't tell you fuel pressure on any generation.
There is a pressure gauge fitting on the rail. Take the black cap off and connect an Actron gauge (available at your auto parts store) to it.
Let us know when you get the gauge, and we'll tell you how to check it.

Ok an update on the problem. I could not get ahold of a fuel pressure guage to hook onto the fuel rail because our auto parts stores (Canadian Tire) do not carry them. I ended up replacing the fuel filter and it seems to have sorted the problem out.
