Anybody here ever swicthed an ac condenser in a 95 ssei, or anybody know of any related links that would be extremely helpful, were having a heat wave, but its raing off and on gets kinda sticky!

It'* as easy as changing the radiator....Problem is evacuating the system before doing it.

Its got a leak so id think it would be empty, do i just undo the top rad bolts and pull it back, undo the ac lines and swap em out? i hope it that easy lol

Never done it myself.....But that'* about all it looks to be. I think that the Tranny cooler is attached to it.

You still need to pull a vacuum on the system after it'* all assembled. The moisture that leaked into the system is what will cause damage to the compressor. Given the level of fix that you're doing, the system will be wide open for a fair amount of time. After it'* reassembled, don't hesitate to pull a vacuum on that system for a good 4 hours.

thanks for the heads up, im not really an idiot usally, but when you say vaccum the system you mean thats what they are going before they refill the system right? Its the machine with the tank on it, do you suggest any pre removal process of the condenser? i have a gm service manual for my car so it shows me what to do other than it says i need some tool of some type, ive looked it over and all it is a brass fitting that threads onto the condenser. Thanks for your time
