I Hate Inner Tie Rods AND Ball Joints!!?!!
...wtf...
This is impossibly aggravating
dad came to the conclusion after looking through the FSM and the car that we have to pull the steering rack to do it, which i thought was a little drastic...
i have to take it to a shop dont I
or special tool is needed probably...
gah
anyone done this before?

it go bad :?
I had a vibration so i took the car to the tire place for a re balancing and alignment, he said he couldn't align it right because the tie rod was shot
and he didn't have time today to replace it for me. and i figured ok i'll do it my self.
and well...now im stuck

Hmmm....are you sure he said "inner"?
Usually, the outer ones fail before the inner ones do. I am assuming you have the outer tie rod disconnected from the knuckle. Is there any play that seems to be coming from the inner when you move it around?

yes outer is disconnected and moving it around is slightly hard to do, but sometimes its easy.
Dad had a look at it as well and has been trying to get it off. I dont know what im looking at as far as what is bad or not, i do know what the parts are and it wont come off...but dad knows and he said it is the inner gone bad. the outer end could use a replacement as well but is still ok is what he said.
