help with accident
Hi,
Yesterday driving to get food at my cafe, i slide into a curve since we got a lot of snow up here in MA. The car was straight but i had the wheels turn to the right, so when i hit the curb the left front wheel slammed into it. My school doesn't believe in plowing, so i brought it to a dealer today cause the alignment was way out of wack, and now they are telling me that i have a lot more than alignment wrong with it, like the control arm and the alloy wheel is damaged. They say so far i'm looking at 500-600 in parts alone. Could this be true or are they trying to get me for parts i don't need, i wasn't going much faster than 15mph when it happened.
Thanks
Michael
btw., car is a 94 lesabre

Sorry to hear about your accident...........Snow can be tough.
It'* very possible that you did that much damage........even at a slow speed.....
A lot of weight slammed against that wheel when it hit that curb......and you said you had the wheel turned which means you hit the tire/wheel at its weakest point.
Just to make sure though......I'd get a second opinion if it were me.
Good luck

We need to know what the car feels like when you drive it, and we need to know if you can take pics underneath!
The dealer is getting you on the alloy wheel. If you really need one, pick one up from a wrecker or dealer. Your wheels will be in the $300 range from the dealer. That'* half the repair cost right there.
Steal one if you have to. You have the greater need for it, right?

yeah i have collision, my fathers going to find out monday if that covers this type of accident. I called the only salvage yard around, they didn't have any rims. I'll ahve to call back monday and see if they have the lower control arm. Guess thats the price to drive a semi-boat car. lol.. Hopefully insurence covers it then i'm only lookin at 200 instead over over 800 with labor. One more question though, they told me that they wouldn't be able to find more wrong with the car untill they put on the new control arm and rim and tried to re align it again. Is this true and also if so any ideas what else could have gotten damange, just so i know what to look for if they come back and tell me they found more dangaed.
Thanks again guys,
Michael
