ok i went and and looked under the dash and saw a few line but they all looked to be in good condition and fastened properly. Heres a pic.

i also checked all the fuses up under there too as well as the ones on the drivers side. they all seemed to be good also. im going out later to check the canister. our drive ways on a slope so i want some one in the car when its running if im going to lay under it.

Perfect Josh you found the vacuum connector in question.

But the problem is not going to be found externally. You will have to separate that connector from the controller to see if there are any collapsed nipples...

Josh once you separate the connector, look closely for collapsed vacuum nipples.

here is an example....




See how these are not open fully (collapsed) and are restricted.

This restriction known as (collapsed nipples) will restrict the vacuum flow that controls the air vent direction.

Just take your time when you take it apart, be careful not to break the plastic parts...

well i took all the lines off and all the nipples looked good. and nothing looked to be restricting the air flow. so do guys have anything else i need to look at ?

Just checking, but did you ever take a look under here? I had the same problem once...still do actually (ugh) but one of the vacuum problems was here. My canister looked like this:



I'm not sure what happened, but it looks almost as though some animal chewed on it. Check that and make sure the connection is secure.

i did look at the canister and the line. they both looked good just a little dirty. nut i havent checked it for sucshion( sorry i cant spell) yet it hasent been above freezeing all week.

yeah i having the same problem but on my 96 bonnie the plastic line going to the canaster runs underneath the raidator support so check and see if u crushed on a curb or parking stone by accident
