Default How to tell the Difference?

Is there a way to visually tell the difference between an early series 1 L67 and a 94?

A yard near a friend has a couple of Series 1'* (blown) out of cars. He does not have 2 years to compare. The yard guys don't know what they came from Are the */c pulleys different diameters? or something else easy to spot?

Thanks for any assistance.

The TB and supercharger are bigger on 94'*. How many are there? if some are bigger then others, then they'll be the 94/95 style.

Pulley on the 94/95 is 2.85"
Pulley on the 92/93 is 2.55"

There'* also a slight difference on one corner of the base of the Supercharger below and behind the TB. Anyone remember what that was?

Also, a 92 or 93 will have a digital egr mounted to the front manifold.....looks like a mushroom cap with 3 solonoids. The 94/95 have a linear EGR mounted in the rear manifold.

A 92/93 SC base is thicker on the driver side back corner where there is a bolt, ~2", whereas a 94/95 is about one inch.

Oh, and the 94/95 EGR still comes from the front manifold, but it is the linear type, just one round solinoid.

Mine, 92 L67, EGR with missing mushroom cap:

Gordy'*, 95 L67 (if he doesn't mind):

Gotcha. And your cover is missing. Look at my sig pic for the pontiac logo. Stock cover is black, though.

When did they start the black oil filler cap? Was that 94?

I meant the digital EGR cover. Yours should be identical to mine, only black. I need a replacement too. Mine broke, and I laser welded it, then painted it. Up close, you can still tell.

I know, I was bringing up another difference.

My EGR cap was missing when I bought the car.
