Default 94 SSE Vibration at shift points

1994 Bonneville SSE non-supercharged 160K Automatic Trans

When the car shifts 1-2, 2-3 I feel a vibration similar to a wash board type vibration from a road surface. It only lasts about 1 second and then goes away.

I can’t say it does it all the time, mostly after a few miles of driving. The same is true for the type of acceleration. It is more pronounced on a hard acceleration but not always.

Anyone got any ideas…motor/transmission mounts….axles…..and god forbid the transmission.

Sounds like a trans mount. Check them all over real good. The front drivers side is good for what you describe.

Been a while since I had a mount issue. I'm kinda thinking TA mount. (in front of the water pump)

Mainly because when it goes..it puts the metal on metal for acceleration.

When you follow Dan'* advice and check them all...you should find the issue.
