Dr. Jay, Merlin, Wllwren, Rogue, Gearheads, Someone help me
93 SSEI or AKA The crow is acting up and i cant pinpoint it. Car stalls out 4 times on me today while driving home. It stalls outta no where but if u weight a while it will come back on after sitting for a while. I drove wit my intake off a couple of times didnt know it fell off and it died on me from WOT would that have damaged my MAF ( no screen is on it )
Codes scanned returned none what so ever
Parts replaced
Computer
Ignition control module
Plugs wires
One thing i noticed though is that when i went to replace the crank sensor the wires to the crank was fried for about 2 inches so i redid the wires.. I monitored my car with my scanner with some light driving and this is what i came up with
Prom ID 1514
Coolant Temp 186.8*
Manifold Temp62.6*
TPS .52 Volts
Throttle Angle 3*
Engine RPM 1413
Idle Air MTR Pos 49 Steps
MAF 7gr/sec
Spark Advance 21.3*
Knock Sensor 2
Knock Retard 0
O2 sensor 884mVolts
Block Learn 145
Air Fuel Mixture 14.1
Battery Voltage 13.4 Volts
No weak cylinder
Rich lean flag = Rich
I gave as much information as i can if any more is needed or any ideas let me know so i can take care of this. Even though i am 6'6" 250 its kinda sucks pushin ur car in -3 weather at night 4 times a night

The coils were put on correctly when installing the new ignition? How'* the cam sensor? These are the only two things I can think of. I'm not the best gearhead but seeing what you've replaced and the info from scanning that'* all I can think of.
Oh, you've checked to make sure the wires on the coils tight right?

Kennginn,
I wouldn't know where to start.... to me it sounds electrical... ie lack of spark...
Sorry man but I'm no gearhead..... :(
I'll see if I can grab one for you.

Ok, showing timing advance means the crank sensor is working properly. Good work on the repair. What concerns me is the rich condition, and like Merlin mentioned, I'd be looking at an ignition problem. The heat problem (failing when hot, working when cooling down) makes me turn towards a heat-related coil failure. I experienced this myself. When that happens, it takes out 2 cylinders. This is enough to cause a stall, and sometimes prevent a start.
What I would do to troubleshoot this is pull the plugs and see if there are an obvious 2 fouled plugs compared to the other four, and if they share a common coil

Or switch the coils around. Some cylinders allow the car to run more than others. Like, if I don't have cylinder #1 plugged in, and another is out, no matter what, the car will NOT start. If I have cylinder #1 plugged in, no matter what, the car will fire if only one other cylinder is out. Shared coil or not. So, just put the top coil on the bottom, middle on top, and bottom on the middle. See what happens.
