Default Tires

Im sure its been beat into the ground here like on other forums but what are you guys with the 225 60 16'* riding on ? I need new and am hoping to find something with good performance but might be less noisy than the Regatta 2'* that came on the car. I dont plan on Z rating I dont drive 120 anyhow and the shutdown is around 115.

I did a search but came up with no tire specific topics just topics that had tires mentioned in them.

Has anyone gone to 235 / ? / 16'* on the factory wheels ?

Toyo Proxes TPT. Directional tread, H rating. They're probably the best car tire i've owned.

There are some 235'*, 245'*, and even a couple 255'* running here.

I have 235/55/16 Goodyear Eagle HP tires. Nice directional tread, H rated. No complaints.

You can run 245/50 without any modifications, and 255/50 (SSEi95 confirm this) with slight wheel well modification.

Yup, I got GoodYear GT+4'*, P255/50 R16'* on stock rims. The moddifications to the wheel wells were to pound the welded lip back out of the way. It sticks out into the well a little bit from the factory.

The traction from these are amazing (when new anyways). My next set of tires will probably be a little narrower since this is Minnesota and we do get a fair amount of snow and ice durring the winter months.
