Default For hire?

I posted this over in "Suggestions' but I thought maybe a wider audience here would say either nay or yay. I'm sure there are lots of people with Bonnys who don't work on cars and who don't want to pay dealer costs in labor and parts....

Sorry if this has already been discussed or, better yet, implemented. How about a link listing member Bonny mechanics here who are interested in working on cars? Just a name, phone number/email and city would do. Perhaps I'm naive but I'd like to think that a Bonny fanatic would be the ideal mechanic to work on our babies!

I'm in Columbus, Ohio btw and would like to know of any members close by.

You're not gonna believe this, but I think only about 4 of our members are mechanics by trade, and one of those works in a body shop. Major front end car doctor.

We could post a registry of member'* actual addresses. I think there'* 4 or 5 members in ohio, but one just put her car up for sale

Gatherings is the best section to get something together, because you have some members in nearby states that aren't too far.

Other than mechanics, there'* a few of us who are pretty adept at getting through these things. Some of us can talk you through just about anything. Jseabert lives right next door to me. We're the only pair right next door, and he just got through his 93SSE all the way to the heads......at 17 years old. We also have a fantastic ability to get you any part number you need, and we'll show you how to get those parts at a 40% discount under dealer retail.

Deathrat works for a Pontiac Dealership in Alberta Canada. Another great resource, and he and I can get you all the part numbers you need. Just post your request in public forums so others can see it. Someone else may benefit from the part numbers you request. Very soon, a couple other guys will have the part number ability My little secret.......we'll get faster responses that way.

We also have 3 members that work for auto wreckers.

Until we get more members, and a higher ratio of Mechanics, we're gonna have to wrench ourselves, or get suggestions from nearby members for good mechanics.

We also have 3 performance shops that support us, and over at the GP forums, you can find even more members in your area. Club GP has over 12,000 members nationwide, and they share our drivetrains.

Any of this help? Welcome to the forum!

I not only Work at a Pontiac Dealership in the Parts Dept, but, I've owned 3 "H" bodies now & have been working on cars for about 20 some years in various aspects. I've also got access to GM'* Database & even if that fails me, I've got a whole shop full of Technicians who can answer my questions.
