Default [working right now] How to reinstall the power steering pump?

so the old power steering pump went on me, once i got it loose i discovered that the pulley had sheared off from inside. not having the pulley attached let me pull the old pump out
but now i have the new pump, with the pulley attached and cannot for the life of me figure out where to thread it through or how to angle it to get it into the engine bay into position

the rest of the job i have under control, but this one thing has been driving me nuts for a half hour now.

please help

should mention this is a 96 SE

You need to turn the pulley so a hole is at the 12 position, there'* a bolt hole there. Then turn it again to the 6 position, there'* another bolt hole there. That'* it.

that'* actually not what i meant

i meant that i had the pump in my hand outside of the wheel well, and couldn't get it through the fender hole and into place to put the bolts through

but eventually with a lot of pushing, twisting, and banged up knuckles i got it through that hole and into place, then all was well

but thanks
