Default How much time left?

Well the other night I was coming home from my brothers house and on this straight away, I mashed the pedal. What I didnt expect to happen was, the engine whined up pretty good and when it dumped into first, there was no immediate pick up. Like the inner clutches were slipping and not grabbing the gear.

When I drive it under normal conditions, its fine. only when I get on it it feels like its slipping. I posted a while back about a fairly good size piece of Thrust bearing in the pan, so I dont know if that could be why or what.

I know a guy who can do the tranny for half the cost as a side job, but I dont even have the money for that!!

I just hope it lasts me the school year......what do you think?

Are you sure your wheels were not just spinning.

Mine feels like that sometime...and the tires do not squeal or make much noise...but I know they are spinning.

If you found a "chunk" of anything in that pan, I sures hell wouldn't be driving it. You prolly did something to your diff. Like mine did, it would go, then sometimes it wouldn't go. Only with alot of power it slipped completely.

Default tranny

you could allways price a bone yard tranny. Have to be selective though.

Lol My tires werent spinning, they squeel when they do. This is definately tranny related.

I know I shouldnt be driving it, but I have no choice, I need to during my sons school year.

Bill, I'll have to look around and see whats around for tranny'*. I just hope it dont crap out on me or im gonna be in trouble without my car.

I guess I better stop stomping on the pedal too huh? LOL

Check your trans fluid for color and smell after driving.
