Hesitation on first start 94SE
Hey Guys,
94 SE here. Things are mostly good but I do have an annoying problem. On the first start in the morning, the car hesitates a bit when I step on the gas. If I floor it, it will catch and go. This happens whether I just start driving or if I rev it in park.
I changed the Tps a few months ago and that seems to be working fine. I put new plugs in last summer and changed the fuel filter (hoping it would correct this) last week.
What strikes me as odd, is that it'* only the first start in the morning or if I've left it all day long. it doesn't seem to be an engine hot or cold issue. Any ideas? I'm thinking injectors or fuel pump, but I'm just guessing.
Thanks
Bill

When you say hesistation...I need a little more specifics.
Does the pedal feel sticky the first time you touch it, then once unstuck the motor is fine.
When you give it some fuel..does it wait a moment then act normal. Like it paused to take a breath before revving?
Does it stumble to try and give you more rpm and act like it could stall?

What if you just give light throttle and drive until the car is up to temp, like that. Then go WOT, would the problem still be there?

Yes, when I give it a little, the hesitation is really evident, when I go WOT, it hesitates for a quick second and then takes off.
It only lasts about 30 seconds and then it'* gone, but it is every morning.
