Default help!!! P0171 never ending battle

ok as some of you know i have been fighting the natorious lean bank 1 code and i have done the cable cleaning at the fender and block under the # 1 cylinder i volt tested the PCM grounds cleaned the entire throttle body and replaced the O2 sensors with ac delcos checked vacuum at the tree and had a steady needle right on the dot for perfection same with the fuel pressure (running motor i have 48 PSI) all of the freeze frame results are fine only fuel trim i am unsure of. i had a LT fuel trim of 16.4 steady and a pulsing at idle ST fuel trim of 12.5-13 thats my only concern even alldata had no info on fuel trim stats but all other parameters are ok and are in perfect range.

i am at a loss now i have no idea what it can be anymore did i miss a ground i went over everything that you told beaujo700 to do in his thread i.e grounds, plug wires on O2, vacuum leak, injector pulse, etc. please i need some really bright light shed on this one before i go insane.

oh i have nothing much done to my car i have flowmaster muffler, magnaflow high flow cat, and a CAI with K+N filter

Can you tell when the code is being thrown, at idle or a certain RPM or speed?

at idle and up to around 1200 rpms the traction off light comes on on the dash and indicates a pre-determined lean bank
this is of course intermitten sometimes at stop lights, when i remote start, and sitting idle while cold or hot

I found some posts today from members that were getting the same codes after removing the MAF screen. Assuming you still have the screen in, it may worth checking the MAF screen for debris.

Everything you've done is to increase airflow. What have you done to match fuel flow to the increased air flow? I'm not an expert on Pontiacs, but try putting your stock air intake back on--see what happens. Unless you've gotten rid of it, it'* a cheap check. If it was a Buick Turbo Regal I'd say bigger injectors, bigger fuel pump, adjustable fp regulator (and more boost!) and a chip (ECM) to match.

The PCM stores the conditions at the time the code was set. Will your scanner display the Fail Records Data?
Do you have the factory service manual? If not PM me with an email address.
