Do the lights go dim when you turn the key to start it, or does everything stay the same brightness?

I had a similiar problem with my 1990 88 Royale. If I am not mistaken, there are 2 postive battery cables connected to the battery. One might be bad. I changed both postive and the negative on my 88 and most mysterious electrical faults went away. Worth a shot if you havent already looked at it

Did I read that right? The car wouldn't crank so you checked the spark plugs? hehe not making fun, just poking fun.

The two cable sandwich on the positive battery terminal is notorious for giving problems and being hard to clean properly but if you do not problem will either remain or just go away briefly.

My goof. I moved this out of General Chat.

Trying to get people to post mechancial problems down here is like trying to get a drunk man to actually NOT pee on the toilet seat.
Trying to get people to put their year/model in their signature so we know what they have is even harder.

Smooth, please put your info in your sig, and post problems in the correct forum. Our gearheads rarely check General Chat or the Lounge for mechanical problems.

Most of the time, we can't answer your questions without knowing what year you have, and it takes up our 'Gearhead time' needlessly asking you what you have.
