Default No HUD...

I'm kind of stumped on this one... My HUD is not working.. I've gone as far as pulling one from the wreckers, yet nothing still.. I pulled the dimmer switch out, and the adjustment cable was broken there, but even with playing with it, still nothing...

Where is the fuse for the HUD? I'm either blind, or there isn't one, and its driving me nuts!

am not sure how you would check...but I believe if the windsheild has been replaced with a non HUD windsheild. that could be your problem.....

I know I read somewhere about them having to have a special windsheid for the HUD to display on....

I dunno....just a thought.....someone else may be able to give a better idea of what to look for on this one.

Hud will show on a non hud window.. just a tad blurry.

It is fused. IIRC it is combined on some other fuse. Check all fuses with key on to ignition (not running) and it should be under the driverside dash.

Well, its a funny update to this... my problem with the HUD is a combination of 2 things... first, a broken adjustment cable, meaning the HUD was all the way down, and didn't have a replacement cable, since it seemed like too much work to pull from the car at the wreckers. Second, the HUD switch seems to be flakey... Last nigh, while driving home from work, I lowered my head to light a smoke, and I seen my HUD working, but all the way down... so tonight, when I left work, I lowered my head to look for the HUD, and it wasn't there... so I played with the brightness switch, and all of a sudden, it started working, as if I had just started the car... so, a note to all who'* HUD doesn't work.. check the cable, and check the switch before replacing the HUD itself...
