If you have an Ohmmeter check the ohms. Just probe the two electric pins with the Ohmmeter and see if it reads around 28 ohms.
Or you can hook up 12 volts and a vacuum hose and see if the valve opens and closes.

With the power plug disconnected you should NOT be able to blow air through the valve.
Air should only flow when 12 volts is a plighted to the valve.

Disconnecting the battery for awhile may clear the code. Otherwise you will have to get a scanner to clear it. Or, after a few drive cycles, the code may clear itself.
