Started with a cam mag now smoke coming out of heater vents.
Hello all,
Replaced supercharger a month ago. The cam magnet broke off my cam sprocket. Changed cam sensor, magnet, timing set, new timing cover gaskets, new oil switch. I had a previous post on this but the problem has seriously worsened. Service engine light went out when i fired it up after doing this. Ran smooth at first when cold. When it got hot started to run bad, lose power, smoke out of timing cover engine. I found out I forgot one bolt. This fixed the smoke problem at the moment. Still ran bad and continuosly got worse. Last night it finally died and wouldnt start back up. Smoke rolled out my heater vents for a half hour straight. Someone thought my Catalytic converter was clogged. I cut it off today and put in a straight pipe. Still wouldnt start. Turning over though. Can smell gas. Checked plugs. Fouled bad. Changed plugs. Now still wont start and smoke coming from where seems to be exhaust manifold when I try to start it. Any ideas. Some are saying timing is off, but I am 99.9% sure I got it right. Plus it ran smooth as a new bonnie at first when I initially started it after changing timing set. Any help is appreciated.
Thanks,
Jon
