Default Help changing ignition switch.

I need to change out a bad ignition switch. Looks like you can't get to it without taking off the entire dash. Is this true?

Ignition switch can be accessed by dropping the steering column down. It'* mounted to the top of it.

You can search my other posts for info on my diagnosis. Basically, the switch is only setting one of two circuits hot. Been running hotwired with a toggle switch for a couple of months. Haven't done the swap yet.
