The one thats on the passenger side of the rad, its about half way down. I went to the part store to get one they no have. Dealer item? i have to get it today hope its the one i need to turn off my low coolant light. Its been like that since i got the car. After that all problems are fixed.

Yup, that'* it. I have to pick one up also for my parents new (to them) 1993 Buick Park Avenue Ultra. The light is on in that, but when I check the codes there is no code for the coolant temp sensor. This car is identical to their 1992 Park Ultra, except the interior is dark blue and it has the Gran Touring Suspension with the 16" wheels.
Now if I can get them to sell me their 1992 I would that to the max and finally have myself a L67 car.

Try "Low Coolant Module."

ouch its 45 bux dealer and they have to order it. Is there a way to some how bypass it to turn the light off? I unplugged it but the light still stays on. Im not worried about being low on coolant anyways i check my fluids every other day

Really??? I unplugged mine because of all its false alarms, and the warning went out like I expected. I ended up reconnecting it later, though, to remind myself to just fix or replace it sometime, or else one day I really_will_ start losing coolant and not get a warning about it. (Our minivan sprang a leak not too long ago and its low-coolant warning saved our butt.)

You're unplugging it right at the sensor, yes?

Sure, either you need to disconnect it, or jumper the wires in the wiring harness, not sure which. Check to make sure you didn't unplug the wrong thing.

I unplugged it about 4 months ago, I dont remember plugging it back in, but it was plugged in. I unplugged it again, started it waited a few seconds and like always back on it went. Does this mean it may not be a faulty sensor? but something gone wrong with the wiring? Jumper the wires? do you mean connect them together? think its a 3 "prong".

Mine'* a 2-prong on the '93, so if yours is a 3-prong then I don't know what'* changed. Maybe there'* a continuity circuit through it so it will complain at you if it'* unplugged, not just if it'* detecting a low level, but I'm just guessing.

Your best bet right now might be to see if you can borrow a known-good one off another car to try on yours before you go spending a ton of money on a replacement. I'm sure that same part is commonly used across models; it wouldn't be unique to the Bonneville.

Yes, the low coolant sensor is a bit more complicated - and it works with the oil level module. Best thing to do is disconnect the yellow and black wire from the oil level module. The module is on the rear of the PCM bracket.
