id like to do a few things to make my car run a little better and fix some things that usually break on these cars..

1. UIM ( was replaced but i think it was just a stock one..id like to get an aftermarket one that wont break!!)
2. LIM
3. Cleaning TB
4. Whatever else you guys think i should do

I just want to know what ill need (parts, gaskets, tools etc.) to do these jobs and maybe someone can point me to a thread for these jobs..

thanks guys

How many miles were on it when you bought it?

What have you done to it so far?

I would replace the timing chain you will need the gasket set, timing set, damper (tensioner), antifreeze and motoroil.

clean the MAF, IAC new O2. I would assume you have new plugs and wires.

Timing chain seems a little overboard for merely making the car run a little better. I could see it if we thought the timing was off or there were other performance related items going into the motor at the same time.

The Techinfo section of this site is full of How-To information, including articles on intake replacements, and throttle body cleaning. Search is also your friend, but Techinfo covers those two, at least. Upper left corner of your screen. The V in BonneVille is pointing to it (at least in my browser).

As far as just making it run better, I'd at least look at the spark plugs, and replace them if necessary. Maybe plug wires, fuel filter, and an O2 sensor. A good tuneup, in other words.

Probably more like every 30K... more often will not harm it.
